James Ethan picked up a squash racquet for the first time at 17 — and nobody wanted to play with him. No natural talent. No head start. Just a stubborn refusal to quit.

He trained six days a week — running, gym, coaching, on-court practice — until he reached a world ranking of #251 on the PSA Tour. He then spent the next three decades building squash communities across Western Sydney, fighting to keep courts open as development pressure claimed venue after venue.

NHC Northmead is the result of that journey. Six newly renovated courts, 15 competitions a week, and an owner who understands exactly what every player — beginner or elite — needs to fall in love with this sport.
